The Man Who Abducted 43 Students is Captured

As investigation continues into the abduction of sudents, Mexican police have captured a former mayor and his wife who the government has blamed for ordering the disappearance of 43 student teachers who are feared dea in September, Reuters report

It could be recalled that the
students were abducted by police in league with a local drug gang in the southwestern city of Iguala after clashes there on the night of Sept. 26. It provoked an extensive manhunt and President Enrique Pena Nieto was totally embarrased by the situation.

The captured former mayor Jose Luis Abarca, who was at the time mayor of Iguala and his wife, Maria de los Angeles Pineda were captured in Mexico City.

The sudden disappearance of the students has shocked the country. President Pena Nieto has earlier claimed that Mexico has become safer under his watch. There is still ongoing search for them
