Gareth Bale has no intention of joining Manchester United from Real Madrid in January, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a shock move for the Welsh ace, with Louis van Gaal set to be backed significantly once again in the transfer market.
Cristiano Ronaldo was their main target, but after being told that there's no chance of luring the Portuguese ace back to Old Trafford, the club's crosshairs have switched onto he Real team-mate, Bale.
Reports in Spain have suggested that manager Carlo Ancelotti is concerned by the ex-Spurs man's performances this term and that he's ready to cut him loose after adding stars such as Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez to his squad.
But this talk has been denied by the Italian:
“Bale deserves to play. He is one of the best players in the world and a very important player for this team.”
Further to this Bale is understood to be settled in Madrid and enjoying his football.
It has been suggested that a world record £90m fee would be needed for man who cost £86m just over a year ago
