"Ronaldo is not the best..."

The Real Madrid superstar has been Portugal captain for six years, but Paulo Bento his former coach thinks Joao Moutinho is a more capable leader on the pitch according to Goal.com
Former Portugal boss Paulo Bento does not believe that Cristiano
Ronaldo is the best captain he has ever had, instead suggesting the
Real Madrid forward's international team-mate Joao Moutinho is.
Ronaldo, 29, was named captain of the national team in July 2008
and remained in the role when Bento took over as head coach of
Portugal in 2010.
Bento resigned from the Seleccao job following defeat to
Albania in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier. He opined that Ronaldo is suited in the role as Monaco and
Portugal midfielder Moutinho, despite being a brilliant player.
"I worked with a lot of experienced people," he said when asked if
Ronaldo is the best skipper he has ever had in an interview with
RTP. "Ronaldo is now a more mature person than he was years ago.
"He is a player of tremendous quality, an excellent
professional. In 10
years as a coach, he is the best player I have worked with.
"But, if I had to choose one player as a captain, I'd pick Joao
Moutinho for his quality, professionalism and ability to understand the
ideas of the coach.
"I worked with him at Sporting for a while, so my experience from
this point of view is extremely thorough."
Bento was Sporting's junior coach when Moutinho was coming through
the club's ranks and was promoted to head coach.
